How to make a Subject Access Request

Making a request for personal information - Subject Access Requests

The Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) provides you with a right to obtain the personal information we hold about you. You can do this by submitting a Subject Access Request (SAR).

If you wish to make a request for the information NRAM plc holds about you, please submit your request in writing to:

NRAM Subject Access Request Team
PO Box 625

You will also need to send a £10.00 fee for your subject access request, which can be payable by cheque or postal order. Please make this payable to NRAM plc.

How to get the most out of your SAR

When making the SAR please ensure that your request is signed. It will also be helpful if you could be as specific as possible about the information you want access to, as this will assist us in processing your request.

Timeframes for your SAR

Your SAR will be handled within 40 calendar days of us receiving it. However in some cases it may take longer for us to process your SAR, for instance if your request is not clear and we require further information from you. In accordance with the DPA we reserve the right to seek additional information from you which would enable us to process your request. Should this be the case, it may be necessary to extend the 40 day period and we will be in touch to inform you of the reasons for this. We will also advise you any further clarification or information we require. The 40 day deadline for processing your SAR will then commence from the date we receive this additional information from you.
